NatureBureau is a design and ecological consultancy, established more than 30 years ago. We combine ecological expertise with a distinctive style in graphic design that is widely acknowledged by our clients and customers alike.

For design and publishing, we provide a unique combination of creativity and enthusiasm for wildlife and the environment, producing exceptional nature reserve guides, interpretation, newsletters and technical reports, as well as a wide range of natural history books under our acclaimed publishing imprint, Pisces Publications.

What we do

• Design
Using Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, NatureBureau creates all kinds of publications – any size, shape, audience or format. We help a range of organisations to present their key messages creatively and clearly, taking on all kinds of challenges from leaflets and interpretive panels, to strategic documents and formal reports. We choose the best format and design for the audience, develop branding and style, and aid image selection. We also offer print management services, ensuring that the finished product arrives right on time.

•Writing
From climate change to Marine Conservation Zones, festive folklore to where to go for wildlife, NatureBureau specialises in writing and editing articles, texts, journals, books, websites and copy on scientific themes. We develop and edit key messages to ensure they are clear and concise, and appropriate for the audience. We take on all kinds of challenges from sub-editing technical documents, to writing website copy for the public.

• Illustration
NatureBureau works closely with its clients on their imaging needs. Whether illustrating species for identification purposes or producing infographics, sourcing top quality photographs or drawing detailed maps, we create and find the images that are required to ensure our clients’ communications stand out. We have an extensive portfolio of contacts for different imaging forms, ensuring that we illustrate all communications with the highest quality and most appropriate images.
